Harcourt Clockmakers is a traditional bench workshop. We service the movement, not just the hands: cleaning, bushing worn pivots, adjusting the escapement and regulating the timekeeping so a piece runs reliably for years. We work on wall clocks, mantel and carriage clocks, longcase (grandfather) clocks and mechanical wristwatches.
Cleaning & service
Full strip-down of the movement, ultrasonic cleaning, fresh oils and regulation on the timing machine.
Repair
Broken mainsprings, worn pivots and bushings, chimes and strikes that have fallen silent.
Restoration
Sympathetic restoration of dials, hands and cases, keeping as much original material as possible.
